Planting Trees twice in 2 weeks

  

 

EN: On 2 and 16 February I participated again to Forest in 1 day organised by the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium. I think I'm now at over 10 treeplanting events. I've planted 40 trees on the 2 events and I've corrected over 70 trees misplanted by families who come to help. It takes a bit of experience to plant a tree properly and increase the chance of survival of the tree. A tree not well planted will die.

FR: Les 2 et 16 février, j'ai de nouveau participé à l'événement Forest in 1 day organisé par l'Institut Jane Goodall en Belgique. Je pense que j'en suis maintenant à plus de 10 événements de plantation d'arbres. J'ai planté 40 arbres lors des deux événements et j'ai corrigé plus de 70 arbres mal plantés par les familles qui sont venues m'aider. Il faut un peu d'expérience pour planter un arbre correctement et augmenter les chances de survie de l'arbre. Un arbre mal planté mourra.

Forest in one day treeplanting

 
EN: I the past 4 months I went to 2 tree planting events organised by the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium and Luminus. On 26 Nov 2023 I planted 55 trees. The ground was not the best and there was also a big slope that didn't make it easy to stand in the mud under the rain. Today I was injured at my shoulder from last week but the digging movement was working without much pain and I've stopped after 20 trees to be sure to avoid any further injury. Still this is not much for the pollution we do make but it's already something. Also with the action more trees are planted in Africa on top of the reforestation efforts in Belgium.

FR: Au cours des quatre derniers mois, j'ai participé à deux événements de plantation d'arbres organisés par l'Institut Jane Goodall Belgique et Luminus. Le 26 novembre 2023, j'ai planté 55 arbres. Le terrain n'était pas le meilleur et il y avait aussi une grande pente qui ne rendait pas facile de se tenir debout dans la boue sous la pluie. Aujourd'hui, je me suis blessé à l'épaule depuis la semaine dernière, mais le mouvement de creusement a fonctionné sans trop de douleur et je me suis arrêté après 20 arbres pour être sûr d'éviter toute autre blessure. Ce n'est pas beaucoup pour la pollution que nous faisons, mais c'est déjà quelque chose. Cette action permet également de planter des arbres en Afrique, en plus des efforts de reboisement en Belgique.

EN: Another tree planting event with the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium. I wanted to plant hundreds of trees but the soil contained many roots and rocks. Only 54 but on the whole day around 18000 trees were planted on 3 sites in Belgium. And more than a million will be planted in Burundi.

FR: Un autre événement de plantation d'arbres avec l'Institut Jane Goodall de Belgique. Je voulais planter des centaines d'arbres mais le sol contenait beaucoup de racines et de roches. Seulement 54 mais sur toute la journée, environ 18 000 arbres ont été plantés sur 3 sites en Belgique. Et plus d'un million d'arbres seront plantés au Burundi.
