EN: I went in Uccle to see the new film of François D'Haene Le Chemin du Retour. He remembered me from our last meeting almost 2 years ago. Well he was impressed to hear I had walked up and down the Montagne de Bueren 135 times. We went after to have a pizza.

FR: Je suis allé à Uccle voir le nouveau film de François D'Haene Le Chemin du Retour. Il se souvenait de moi depuis notre dernière rencontre il y a presque 2 ans. Il était impressionné d'apprendre que j'avais monté et descendu la Montagne de Bueren 135 fois. Nous sommes ensuite allés manger une pizza.

VIMFF adventure and mountain film festival

EN: This Thursday and Friday, I was on stage presenting the films of the first edition of the VIMFF tour (Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival) in Brussels (Flagey) on 16 et 17 March.

FR : Ce jeudi et vendredi, j'ai présenté les films de la première édition de la tournée VIMFF (Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival) à Bruxelles (Flagey) les 16 et 17 mars.

The Mad Belgian at the Dutch Mountain film festival

 

 

EN: I went this weekend to the DMFF or Dutch Mountain Film Festival. I had a blast. The festival is well organized and I enjoyed it very much. I also climbed for the fun and once the highest stairs of the Netherlands: Trap Wilhelminaberg. My first film (as producer) The Mad Belgian: Keep Walking has been screened on the sunday afternoon although it was at first not even selected. This allowed it to have its entry in IMDb.com.

FR: Je suis allé ce week-end au DMFF ou Dutch Mountain Film Festival. Je me suis éclaté. Le festival est bien organisé et j'ai beaucoup apprécié. J'ai aussi grimpé pour le plaisir et une fois les plus hauts escaliers des Pays-Bas : Trap Wilhelminaberg. Mon premier film (en tant que producteur) The Mad Belgian : Keep Walking a été projeté le dimanche après-midi bien qu'il n'ait d'abord même pas été sélectionné. Cela lui a permis d'avoir son entrée dans IMDb.com.

First Film - The Mad Belgian - Keep Walking

 

EN: One year after finishing the project #EverestBuerenChallenge, my first film as producer (MeetExplorers Productions) - The Mad Belgian - Keep Walking is finished in English. The French version will be in a week or so. Very proud of the work of cameraman and director Ivan Dunsmore.

The film is currently on status UNLISTED on the MeetExplorers Youtube Channel. Why?

• We want to submit the film first to many Adventure Film Festivals
• Perhaps sent it later to paid online streaming platforms
• I want personally to use it in conferences in 2022 with ideally 3 other films to produce in the coming 6 months.
• Then of course, in 1 year or so, we'll release the link freely to Youtube.

FR: Un an après avoir terminé le projet #EverestBuerenChallenge, mon premier film en tant que producteur (MeetExplorers Productions) - The Mad Belgian - Keep Walking est terminé en anglais. La version française le sera dans une semaine environ. Très fier du travail du caméraman et du réalisateur Ivan Dunsmore.

Le film est actuellement en statut NON LISTé sur la chaîne Youtube de MeetExplorers. Pourquoi ?

• Nous voulons d'abord soumettre le film à de nombreux festivals de films d'aventure.
• Peut-être l'envoyer ensuite à des plateformes de streaming en ligne payantes
• Je veux personnellement l'utiliser dans des conférences en 2022 avec idéalement 3 autres films à produire dans les 6 mois à venir.
• Puis bien sûr, dans 1 an environ, nous diffuserons le lien librement sur Youtube.
