EN: I arrived yesterday evening at GJ'place, a Belgian friend living in Quito (2800m) after a day in Otavalo. I'll stay here for a while as I can prepare my expeditions and she and her Ecuadorian boyfriend are in the tourism industry so they have a broad knowledge of the area and beyond. It was so sunny and clear they urged me to take the cable car to higher grounds (4100m) and enjoy the views. You can see south Quito and in the far distance the Cotopaxi volcano, which I hope to climb.
FR: Je suis arrivé hier chez GJ, une amie Belge vivant à Quito (2800m) après une journée passée à Otavalo. J'y reste un certain temps car j'y prépare mes expéditions et elle et son partenaire Equatorien sont dans l'industrie du tourisme; ils ont donc une grande connaissance de la région et bien plus loin encore. Il a fait tellement beau et avec un ciel très dégagé, ils m'ont ordonné de prendre le téléphérique et prendre de la hauteur (4100m) pour profiter de la vue. Vous pouvez voir Quito sud et le Cotopaxi que je compte bien gravir.
