Art in All of us... in Sydney.

Supported by the UNICEF, Art in All of Us is a project aiming to create cultural exchange between every 192 UN countries using Art (photos, poems and drawings). Focussing on children as they are considered half a person in some countries. At the end of they journey, the 2 photographers will publish a book showing for each single country a photo of a child and a poem.
They visited already 90 countries.

Training...

ENG: I've been training (walking) in the mountaineous area of Canberra during the past 3 days.
On the second day I got caught by a thick fog on the 3rd summit of the day, got lost (walk with no track at all). I only had 2 options:
1/stay during the night with almost no food and water, no sleeping bag anor tent.
2/take my compass and follow the best direction on instinct and try to find a road down.
I followed 2 and reached by my car after 3 hours of struggling going down a 50% slope full of rocks, heavy grass and trees.

FRA: J'ai ete m'entrainer a la marche dans la region montagneuse de Canberra pendant 3 jours. Le 2e jour, au 3e sommet de la journee, le brouillard epais empecha toute visibilite et je me suis perdu (rando sans balisage).J'abvais 2 options:
1/passer la nuit en montagne sans sac de couchage ni tente, peu d'eau et peu de vivres
2/ foncer a l'azimut et descendre dans une direction me s'eblant la plus ideale pour tomber sur une route.
J'ai choise la "2" et j'ai retrouve ma voiture de location apres 3 heures de bataille avec une pente a 50%, de la caillasse, des herbes hautes et arbres.

Winter time.

FRA: L'hiver approche, je continu a cherhcher du travail, ce qui n'est pas evident, j'ai eu des baisses de moral. J'essaye de m'entrainer un peu egalement a augmenter mon poids et solifier mes muscles et tendons.
J'ai assiste au BANFF Mountain movie festival tour, le meilleur des filmes d'aventure, a Sydney comme en 2004. ce fut un moment pour apprendre ce qui plait au public afin de pouvoir y proposer un film j'espere en 2007.

ENG: Winter is coming, it gets cooler. I'm still looking for a job, which is not easy. I lost motivation at times. I try too train and strenghten my muscles and tendons while getting more weight.
I'd like to enter my fiest movie in 2007 at the BANFF Mountain movie festival. Therefore I attended the tour of the best movies in Sydney, ilkeI did in 2004.

FRA: J'ai passe un interview chez Clear2Pay, et malgre que je convienne au profil recherche, il me manque de l'experience d'apres la personne que j'ai rencontree. J'ai egalemt passe un interveiw dans une societe de vente-marketing et apres avoir passe le 1e echelon, j'avais RDV le lendemain matin a 9h00 dans un autre filiale a eux. J'y suis alle et reste jusque 16h, enfait cela devait etre un job pour la citibank mais le job consistait a bosser pour la boite de marketing a faire du porte a porte pour vendre des cartes de credit. Pas de salaire, seulemet un gain a chaque vente. Il y a moyen de gagner de l'argent surtout que apres qqs semaines on peut monter d'un echelon, et creer sa propre equipe de vente. En fait tous le systeme fonctionne sur le principe de vente pyramidal et j'ai donc refuse le job. Je vous passe les details de ma journee ou sans rien me dire on m'a depose en plein centre industriel en costard pour aller vendre vendre des cartes aux managers et/ou ouvriers.
Hier, avec qqs personnes du backpacker nous sommes sortis. En rue,a l'aller je me suis fait agrippe au bras par un gars qui cherchait la bagarre (du genre costaud comme un Maori). J'ai reussi a me degager sans trop l'enerver pour eviter le coup de poing. Sinon, je visite aussi des logements pour essayer de m'installer et je termine une formation en ligne javascript du Forem.

ENG:I had an interview at Clear2Pay but didn't get the job lacking some experience. I also passed an interview with a sales-marketing company and its subsidiary, which in fact was a pyramidal markeint company. You don't get a wage, just money on the sales you make.Huge income can be made if you go to higher level creating your own team but I refused the job as I didn't like the fact the dropped me somewhere with a guy during the whole day in an industrial area to sell Citibank credit cards.
Yesterday I partied with some backpackers, and on the way avoided a punch with a guy who obviously wanted to get into fight with anyone and just picked me by grabbing my arm firmly and treatening me asif I was treatening him to fight with him.I also visited some places to rent and I am finishing my javascript online course started in Belgium.

Back again to OZ and SG

FRA:vol paris-singapour:vu que des films, mais pas terrible.
Singapour, revu chez ING une ancienne management trainee des pays-bas qui est restee a SG. Revu Kevin qui m'a presente a une amie Singapourienne habitant Sydney.
Achats divers:photo, video et disque dur de 300Go. Meme un telephone portable mais en ouvrant la boite a l'aeroport...il n'y avait que le chargeur dedans. Aujourd'hui a Sydney, j'ai telephone au magasin, ils vont le donner a Kevin qui se debrouillera pour me donner ce GSM.

ENG:flight paris-singapore:seen only lots of movies, nut not great ones. At ING in SG i saw back an old management trainee who stayed there since 2002. I saw back my SG friend KEvin who presented me to his SG friend living in Sydney.
Bought stuff at Sim Lim:video, photo + 300Giga HD. Even a mobile phone but when i opened the box at the airport there was only the charger inside. Today in Sydney, i called the shop, they'll give it to Kevin who's coming soon to OZ.

The RENTALS are Back !!!

FRA: Probablement 1 de mes 5 groupes préférés, peu connu commercialement, mais apprécié de ceux qui connaissent... dissous en 1999, ils reviennent apparemment en 2006. Faites rugir les synthés MOOGS !
Le leader Matt Sharp avait hésité entre revenir dans Weezer ou recréer ce groupe "The Rentals" qui mélange plusieurs artistes de groupes différents un peu comme TOTO.

ENG: Probably 1 of my favorite bands, not really famous but had good criticism by the professionals. Separated in 1999, it's said they'll be back in 2006. Yihaaah run the MOOGS out loud.
Matt Sharp, band leader, was hesitating to go back to Weezer or go back with "The Rentals", which mix various artists of different bands a bit like TOTO did.

Back to Australia.

FRA: J'ai reçu mon VISA ( VVT: http://www.france.embassy.gov.au/dima/workholiday/workholiday_fr.html ) et 3 heures d'acharnement et de recherche plus tard...j'imprimai mon billet d'avion éléctronique.
Je pars le Lundi 13/02 de Paris et j'arrive à Sydney le 15/02.

ENG: I got my WHM visa ( http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/visiting_whm.htm ) and 3 hours of nervosity and research later... I was printing my e-flight ticket.
I am leaving on Monday 13/02 from Paris and arriving in Sydney on the 15/02.

Angry on Sony.

FRA: J'ai été très content de la qualité des photos obtenues avec mes appareils cybershot sony. Par contre je ne suis ni content du service après vente ni du service partenariat. En effet, j'avais envoyé un courrier (pas possible par email et par téléphone, on comprend aisément que si c'était possible, ils auraient 500 demandes par jour) un peu avant l'expo à la mi-Septembre. L'expo se terminant le 15 octobre, j'ai recu le 13/01/2006 un courrier imprimé le 09/01 où l'on me réponds en 1 ligne que mon projet ne correspond pas à leur stratégie de communication actuelle.
Concernant la réparation de mes 2 appareils, un qui a pris l'eau mais qui a su refonctionner complètement après séchage, mais qui est devenu aveugle le soir même à cause certainement d'une crasse salée dans l'objectif (j'avais eu un FUJI aveugle et la réparation m'avais coûté 150 euro); l'autre a eu un espèce de court-circuit je crois à cause d'un exceès d'humidité.
La réparation du 1e coute 428 euro, le devis du 2ème 925 euro (dont 1 pièce à 300 euro). L'appareil neuf coute 260 euro. Le plus bizarre est que la réparation de l'appareil le plus endommagé coute moins que celui qui me semble quasi intacte. Je n'ai évidemment pas fait réparé.

ENG: I was very happy of the quality of my Sony Cybershots. But not really from the Sony services: asking on mid-September for sponsorship, I received a negative answer on 13/01/2005 when my photo exhibition finished already 3 months ago. My project was not matching their communication strategy.
Secondly I had to repair 2 of my digital camera's. A new one costs around 260 euro. One had to be repaired for 428 euro and the other for 925 euro (even 1 part costs 300 euro). The least damaged coste dthe more. I didn't repaired any of them.
