FR: J'ai assisté pendant 2 jours au ODOO EXPERIENCE afin d'aller voir les conférenciers non-oddo qui étaient soit aventurier ou YouTuber. J'ai appris quelques actions à mettre en place pour mes propres vidéos YouTube.

Qu'en est-il de la vidéo ?

• La qualité n'est pas la plus importante. Un contenu de qualité est plus important que la valeur de production
• Répondez et donnez de la valeur en vous concentrant, par exemple, sur la résolution d'un problème.
• Ne perdez pas de temps avec des introductions ou en répétant le titre de la vidéo. Allez droit au but.
• Le succès peut dépendre uniquement de la miniature (1280*720p) et d'un titre de 55 caractères, c'est donc très important.

EN: I attended the ODOO EXPERIENCE for 2 days to see the non-ODO speakers who were either adventurers or YouTubers. I learnt a few things to do for my own YouTube videos.

What about the video?

• The quality is not the most important. Great content is key above production value
• Answer and give value by e.g. focusing on solving a problem
• Don't waste time with intros or repeating the title of the video. Get to the point.
• Success can depend solely on the miniature (1280*720p) & a 55 caracters title so it's very important.

APECS Belgium poles conference

 

FR: J'ai assisté pour la première fois à la conférence BE POLAR organisée par APECS Belgique et d'autres partenaires. Un programme plein de science sur les pôles. La meilleure partie est bien sûr le réseautage, car peut-être qu'un jour je partirai en expédition pour aider un scientifique.

EN: I attended for the first time the BE POLAR conference organized by APECS Belgium and other partners. A program full of science about the Poles. The best part is of course the networking as perhaps one day I'll go on expedition to help a scientist.

Film Le VIVANT qui se défend

FR: J'ai été voir le flim Le Vivant qui se défend de Vincent Verzat. Ce film mélange nature animalière locale et le suivi de Vincent de certaines luttes écologiques en France. Le film sera mis gratuitement sur sa chaîne YouTube en Novembre. En attendant vous pouvez aller le voir en salle à ces dates.

EN: I went to see Vincent Verzat's film Le Vivant qui se défend (The Living Defends Itself). This film combines local wildlife with Vincent's coverage of certain environmental struggles in France. The film will be available for free on his YouTube channel in November. In the meantime, you can go and see it at the cinema on these dates.

Woman Wave Project avec Adelaide Charlier et Camille Etienne

 
FR: Après le Climate Sense à Lille, j'ai foncé pour prendre le train et assister au lancement du Women Wave Project de ces 6 activistes féminines. Elle vont défendre un projet bien costaud à la COP30 au Brésil. Elle (6) s'y rendent à la voile avec (4) skippeuses: uné équipe 100% femmes. Trajet Cherbourg-Canaries-Belem. Voilier: Magic Time.

Activistes: Adélaïde Charlier, Camille Etienne, Maïté Meeûs, Coline Balfroid, Mariam Touré et Lucie Morauw.

Skippeuses: Philippa Rytkönen, Capucine Treffot, Sandra Marichal et Lydia Mullan.

Quels objectifs sur place?

1. Rencontre et collaboration avec les activistes locaux et ceux qui auront rejoint la COP.
2. Présence au sommet des Peuples.
3. Actions / Conférence sur place (Océan, Intersectionnalité)
4. Plaidoyer à la COP30 : Finance, Agenda, Gouvernance.

Leurs recommandations à la COP30?

1. Sortir des énergies fossiles
2. Protection des Forêts et Océans
3. Espace Civique
4. Finances

EN: After Climate Sense in Lille, I rushed to catch the train and attend the launch of the Women Wave Project by these six female activists. They will be championing a powerful project at COP30 in Brazil. The six of them will be sailing there with four skippers: a 100% female team. The route will take them from Cherbourg to the Canary Islands to Belém. Sailboat: Magic Time.

What are their objectives there?

1. To meet and collaborate with local activists and those who will have joined the COP.
2. To attend the People's Summit.
3. Actions/conference on site (Ocean, Intersectionality)
4. Advocacy at COP30: Finance, Agenda, Governance.

Their recommendations for COP30?

1. Move away from fossil fuels.
2. Protect forests and oceans.
3. Civic space.
4. Finance.

Climate Sense Life at 50 degrees

  

FR: J'ai testé l'expérience Climate Sense: on reste 30 minutes dans ce camion chauffé à 30°C et on y faire de l'exercice physique et mental comme si on était en 2050 lors d'une journée d'été suffocante. Est-il possible de travailler, de réfléchir dans ces conditions ? Pas vraiment.

J'y ai tourné un épisode de LouPhiTEST : J'ai testé un jour d'été en 2050 (pas encore monté, diffusion sans doute en octobre)

EN: I tried out the Climate Sense: experience: you spend 30 minutes in a truck heated to 30°C, doing physical and mental exercises as if you were in 2050 on a sweltering summer's day. Is it possible to work and think in these conditions? Not really.
